What is an eSIM?
An eSIM is a digital SIM built into your phone. Instead of inserting a plastic card, you install a data plan by scanning a QR code — so you can get a local connection abroad without swapping SIMs.
Will my phone work with an eSIM?
Most phones from 2019 onward support eSIM. Check our device compatibility page to confirm yours, and make sure the phone is carrier-unlocked.
When does my plan start?
Validity starts when the eSIM connects to a network in your destination — not when you buy it. So you can install ahead of time and only start the clock when you land.
Can I top up if I run out of data?
Yes. From your dashboard, open the eSIM and choose a top-up package for the same coverage. The extra data is added to the same eSIM.
Do I keep my phone number?
Yes. The eSIM only carries data. Your primary SIM stays active for calls and texts, so people can still reach you on your usual number.
