Privacy Policy
Last updated Aug 12, 2026
This policy explains what personal data roamly collects, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it.
1. Who controls your data
The data controller is True Technologies Ltd (company number 16459127), 45 Barbican Road, Greenford, England, UB6 9DH.
For anything about your personal data, including the requests described in section 6, contact info@useroamly.com.
This policy explains how we handle personal data under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
2. What we collect
Account data: your name, email address and password (stored only as a hash, never in readable form).
Order and eSIM data: what you bought, when, the price paid, and the identifiers and usage figures for the eSIMs issued to you.
Support data: the content of any tickets you open with us.
Technical data: IP address, device and browser information generated when you use the site, together with the session cookie that keeps you signed in.
We do not collect your full card number. Card details are entered with our payment provider, which passes us only a payment reference and result.
3. Why we use it, and our lawful basis
To provide the service you bought — creating your account, issuing eSIMs, showing your order history and handling top-ups. Lawful basis: performance of our contract with you.
To provide support and handle complaints or refunds. Lawful basis: performance of our contract, and our legitimate interest in resolving disputes.
To keep the service secure and prevent fraud and abuse. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in protecting the service and our customers.
To keep accounting and tax records. Lawful basis: compliance with a legal obligation.
To send marketing about similar products, where you have not opted out or where you have asked us to. Lawful basis: consent or our legitimate interests, and you can withdraw or object at any time using the link in any message.
4. Who we share it with
Our eSIM supplier and the mobile network operators behind each plan, so that the eSIM can be provisioned and supported.
Our payment provider, to take payment and process refunds.
Our hosting and infrastructure providers, who store the data on our behalf under contract.
Professional advisers, and public authorities where the law requires it.
We do not sell your personal data.
5. Transfers outside the UK
Providing a global eSIM service means some of these providers are outside the UK. Where personal data is transferred abroad, we rely on UK adequacy regulations where they cover the destination, and otherwise on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, with additional safeguards where needed.
You can ask us for details of the safeguards applying to a particular transfer.
6. How long we keep it
Account data: while your account is open, and for a short wind-down period after you close it.
Order and payment records: six years from the end of the financial year they relate to, to meet our obligations under the Companies Act 2006 and HMRC record-keeping rules.
Support tickets: three years after the ticket is closed.
Technical logs: normally no more than twelve months, unless retained for an active security investigation.
7. Your rights
You have the right to be told what personal data we hold about you and to receive a copy of it; to have inaccurate data corrected; and to have data erased where we no longer need it.
You may also ask us to restrict how we use your data, object to processing based on our legitimate interests, and receive data you gave us in a portable machine-readable format.
Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time — that does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@useroamly.com. We will respond within one month. We will not charge you, and we will ask you to verify your identity before acting on a request.
8. Cookies
We set a session cookie that keeps you signed in and a cookie that remembers your currency choice. These are strictly necessary for the service to work, so under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations they do not require your consent.
If we later add analytics or advertising cookies, we will ask for your consent first and give you a way to change your mind.
9. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first at info@useroamly.com so we can try to put it right.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK's data protection regulator, at any time. The ICO can be reached on 0303 123 1113 or at Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF.
